Warren Oil Co Plastic Technician is responsible for the blow molding process: efficient production, minor repairs, preventative maintenance and all required quality checks as specified in control plan.

Plastic Technician Duties:

  • Responsible for startup and shut down of machines as needed due to production scheduling, repairs, and preventative maintenance
  • Select and properly use basic hand tools, meters, values and dials of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed
  • Observe continuous operation of automatic machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Record quantities of materials and finished products
  • Make sure all safety protection is in place on equipment and being used properly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment
  • Other duties as assigned
Plastic Technician Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1-3 year of  experience specifically blow molding or plastic manufacturing.
  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills anbd aptitude. 
  • Must be able to select and properly use basic hand tools and meters for the task
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment.
  • Knowledge of industrial technology a plus.
  • Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
  • Certificate of completion or equivalent in basic Statistical Process Control (SPC)
